Hooray, winter is here!

Mother Holle is already working hard and has sent us the first layer of snow

We'll kick off the winter season on 24 December 2022 and will then be open non-stop for you until 10 April 2023. 

For snowshoe hikers, this year will once again be an exciting one by Dachstein Krippenstein: The popular viewing platforms Welterbespirale, 5fingers and Dachstein-Shark and the viewpoint Dachsteinblick, which offer incredible views of the Dachstein glacier, Hallstatt and into Inner Salzkammergut are open in winter and beckon to go on leisurely hikes amidst the enchanting winter scenery on the groomed and signposted snowshoe trails. 

All powder fans can expect 30 km of Off-Piste-options, certain to delight all deep snow surfers! Schönberg, Imisl and Eisgrube offer rough ridges, slopes rich in variety and selective forest routes, with 1,500 m difference in altitude demanding both fitness and concentration. The Freesports Arena Dachstein Krippenstein is an Eldorado for all Freeride-Fans. 

And after the many winter sports experiences in the fresh air, the hosts at Dachstein Krippenstein pamper you with delicious treats in the cozy restaurants and comfortable sun terrace with fantastic panoramic views of Dachstein glacier. A place to chill, relax, enjoy and hard partying.
