About the seal of quality
The seal of quality "Beste Österreichische Sommer-Bergbahnen" is an initiative of the Austrian Cable Car Association (Wirtschaftskammer Österreich). The seal of quality unites the experts and pioneers of Austrian summer mountain tourism and now has 77 members with 94 themed mountains. The seal of quality is an important criterion for choosing a destination, especially for summer holidaymakers with mountain experience. Only businesses that fulfil at least 160 quality criteria become members of the "Beste Österreichische Sommer-Bergbahnen" Specialising in five themes - adventure, family, panorama & nature experience, enjoyment, art & culture - members must pass recertification every three years.

Cave world
The Dachstein Krippenstein promises pure enjoyment for every taste!
The fresh, sparkling ice in the Dachstein Giant Ice Cave is shown off to its best advantage with state-of-the-art lighting and sound technology. On the 35 metre long rope bridge, you can feel the necessary adrenaline rush and enjoy a spectacular view down below.
The gigantic Mammut Cave and the roaring Koppenbrüller Cave are also highly recommended for a visit with the family. Extensive cave passages, impressive rock cathedrals and plays of light and shadow will amaze young and old alike.
Summit area
The summit at 2,100 metres with spectacular viewpoints!
The Dachstein Krippenstein also has a lot to offer at the summit at 2,100 metres above sea level. Special highlights are the viewing platforms 5fingers, World Heritage view and World Heritage spiral with fantastic views of the mountain and lake panorama and of course the Dachstein glacier.
On the well-developed hiking trail to the 5fingers, information boards provide interesting facts about the fauna, flora and geology of the Dachstein Krippenstein. The spectacular viewing platform is not for the faint-hearted! The 5fingers protrude like a hand into an abyss over 400 metres deep.

Another highlight is the family-friendly Heilbronner Circular Trail. The generously developed karst hiking trail is easy to walk along its entire length and there is plenty to discover along the way, especially for young hikers. The circular trail leads directly past a popular photo point, the eight metre high Dachstein shark. This can be accessed from the inside and is a highlight for young and old alike.
The mountain restaurants with spacious sun terraces invite you to stay and relax and spoil their guests with national and international dishes as well as regional delights.
