For early tourers, snowshoe hikers and hut sitters who get up early in the morning, from 13.02.2026 always at the weekend (Friday, Saturday + Sunday) until the end of the season there will be the popular early cable car ride at 7:30 am in the morning.

Early tourers rides:

The Krippenstein is the ideal starting point for numerous tours into the Dachstein massif: whether from the Krippenstein the classic crossing route over the "Rumpler" to the Dachstein glacier with the 21 km-long descent to Obertraun or a half-day tour to the Zwölferkogel or Heilbronner cross

Equipment

Must have equipment off piste

Good equipment (avalanche transceiver, helmet, rucksack with snow shovel, avalanche probe and First aid kit) is an absolute "must have" in the terrain! Ski rental Dachstein sport Janu ready-stocked rucksack, skins, etc. can be conveniently borrowed!
