The Eisklang concerts, presented by the cultural association AME- Austrian -Music-Education, take place in one of the most remarkable ‘concert halls’ in the world - the Parzival Dome in the Dachstein Giant Ice Caves in Obertraun. THE musical highlight in the Inner Salzkammergut.
In a crystal-clear atmosphere and in front of bizarre ice formations, you can listen to the sounds of a wide variety of styles, from classical music to jazz improvisation and swinging blues and boogie. International musicians, some of whom are engaged in world-famous orchestras, transform the unique ambience with brilliant, dreamlike sounds into a concert hall that will give you goose bumps, and not just because of the temperature.
Even the journey to the coldest concert hall in Austria is an experience. Take the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car to the Schönbergalm, where an experienced cave guide is already waiting for visitors.
After a short ascent to the cave entrance, music lovers can expect a guided tour through the fascinating ice world of the Dachstein before the real highlight of the day is on the programme - a unique feast for the ears in front of fairytale ice sculptures.
