Questions and answers about the cave visit
You will need to take the Dachstein Krippenstein cable car along section 1 to the middle station Schönbergalm. The walk / hike to the cave entrance from here follows a route which is partly asphalted. Altitude difference 70 m.

Duration guided cave tour: approx. 50 minutes
Tour route: 800 m long, 80 m height difference (steps)

Where is the cave ticket counter located?
Cave ticket counter ist located in the middle station of Dachstein Krippenstein cable car, in the entrance area of Schönbergalm Nature Park (to the left of the sliding door).
For individuals and small groups up to 20 people no pre-registration by phone is required!
The Koppenbrüller Cave is located in the valley, on the edge of Obertraun. A romantic woodland trail along the river Traun will take you to the cave entrance in no time.

What should I wear?
The caves may only be visited if accompanied by an experienced guide. Wear robust shoes and warm clothing to ensure you enjoy your cave experience to the full! Temperatures:

From what age may children visit the caves?
There is no lower age limit for children visiting the Dachstein caves (Dachstein Giant Ice Cave, Mammut Cave, Koppenbrüller Cave)! KIDS are welcome!
What about my dog?
Dogs are required to wear a muzzle and use of dog leashes. Dogs wearing a muzzle and using dog leashes are permitted on the cable car. Of course, as a responsible dog owner you also make sure that

your dog does not hunt anything or anyone,
- •
you remove the dog's legacy and take it with you
- •
and you always have enough water for your dog during your hike.
